Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, AR has an immediate opening for a full-time Referral-Scheduling Coordinator within our Centralized Scheduling Department.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the assigned manager or coordinator, receives referral for patient to be scheduled for a specialist appointment and/or procedure.  Once the appointment is made, the scheduling coordinator will notify the appropriate referral coordinator who will follow through with referral completion.  The scheduling coordinator will also notify the appropriate referral coordinator of reasons or circumstances the appointment could not be scheduled. Has the ability to perform duties consistent with Standards of Practice, goals and philosophy of Ozarks Community Hospital of Springfield and the Employee Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year’s medical office experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with health insurance and patient billing preferred.
  • MA III/LPN certification/license preferred.
  • Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience preferred.
