Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, AR has an immediate opening for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant within our Physical Therapy Department.

Job Summary: Responsible for administering physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OCH Physical Therapist.  Administers physical therapy services as directed by the staff Physical Therapist following the initial evaluation.  The Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Physical Therapist with restoration of patient functioning following injury, disease, or physical disability.  Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.  Ensures that documentation and patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.  The Physical Therapist Assistant participates in the operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Current State Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class. Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class.
  • Ability to teach/instruct and evaluate the learning of new employees.
