OCH welcomes new podiatrist to Gravette hospital

Gravette, AR – OCH of Gravette announces the addition of Kory D. Miskin, DPM. Dr. Miskin is a podiatrist joining the OCH of Gravette Specialty Clinic (1101 S. Jackson St.) this December.

“We are thrilled to have a podiatrist at the hospital,” says Jackie Powell, OCH of Gravette Specialty Clinic Manager. “Our surgery department has continued to grow, and this is a much needed specialty for our patients.”

Dr. Miskin can perform clinic procedures including the removal of ingrown toenails, warts and pre-cancerous lesions; minor hammertoe procedures; and removal of foreign bodies. He will also offer surgical procedures including bunion, hammertoe and flatfoot reconstruction; neurectomies; plantar fasciotomy; heel spurs; fracture repair; ankle scopes and fusions; equinus procedures; forefoot and hindfoot fusions; amputations; tarsal tunnel releases; and soft tissue mass excisions.

Dr. Miksin received his education from Brigham Young University – Provo and from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. He is currently is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

OCH of Gravette provides education about early breast cancer detection

Gravette, AR – Residents are invited to attend a free community education class on breast cancer awareness Thursday, Oct. 9 from 6-7 p.m. at 1101 Jackson St. SW.

The class will feature a speaker from the Rogers chapter of the American Cancer Society and cover guidelines for early detection of breast cancer.

It is the first of many free, monthly health education classes to be hosted by the OCH, Gravette Fire Department, EMS and EagleMed.

“We are looking forward to working with the local fire department, EMS and EagleMed to offer much needed health education to our community,” says Amanda Gittlein, marketing manager for OCH. “These classes will feature a variety of timely health topics, and help offer important preventative health information to our community.”
